Review: I enjoy the clean water. The sales person originally said it could service my ice machine and be routed to my bar. The same distance from my sink but I would require the highest end unit. I purchased the high end unit and it was going to be too big of a hassle to get clean ice so just had it installed under the sink. The water just stopped flowing without warning. It was due to a water sensor that failed and defaults to a closed state. Gilbert was nice and this was not his fault. The system was installed by the same technician that came to service it. The sensor that is less than a year old was bypassed and everything worked properly. $180 service fee. No warranty on the sensor since it was “not part of the system†replacement cost $91 dollars. So, left it bypassed. Have a few months before filters need replacing. I purchased the filters and will replace myself. So, $325 to bypass a sensor and bought two filters I will install when needed. So, if your system just stops the reset button on the sensor fails to fix the problem. It is the problem. The addition just prompted a service call took off work and spent money that I feel is Shelton's water's responsibility for adding an additional sensor that failed. No discount on the call.Just hope this helps anyone understand what it costs to maintain after buying the premium system. Extremely frustrating!!

Review: In the fall of 2021, we purchased a whole house RO system from Shelton's. I had no experience with RO and believed their claims of expertise in the area. Numerous problems both with the system and with Shelton's have arisen since the installation.Electrical: despite being told that the outlets in my well house were sufficient, I had issues with my 20amp breaker popping. I noted that the system pump draws SF amps of 21 at 115V. The Shelton's folks who installed it plugged it into a 120V/ 15amp outlet. After consulting my electrician, I learned that the unit should have been connected to a 240v outlet (system draws 10.5amps at 230V). I believe that I was not told about this because having to install an additional 240v outlet in my well house might have caused me to rethink the $17,000+ system.I paid an electrician over $1000 to install a 240v outlet for the system, which Shelton's did come out and adjust for.Copper pipes. At no time was I asked by the salesperson, the two installers, or the owner whose name was on the agreement what type of pipes we had in our home. Our entire house is plumbed with copper pipes. I was told by one of the installers not to put RO water in my pool because of mineral leaching, so obviously they were aware of the concept.Over a month after system installation, my plumber was at my house for an unrelated call. I told him about the RO system and he explained the dangers of RO systems with copper pipes. I tested the water pH and it was ~6.4.Shelton's then sold me an additional calcite filtration system ($850) to bring up the pH, increase the TDS content and thereby reduce the corrosive effects of the product water. After working through these and other issues, Shelton's informed me that they would start charging a $400 trip charge (we live in Palo Pinto County) on top of parts and labor for all remaining calls. Strangely, this wasn't mentioned when they sold us the system.Fortunately at that point, we found another company to help moving forward. As we worked with them, we discovered other issues with the system we had been sold….To be continued.

Review: In short I'd say, knowledgeable, conscientious, organized and efficient. The water softener and RO unit are top notch. The company seems to be a jewel on the sea of horrible install-it-and-leave-you-stranded companies. They really want your system working well for you. The installer (Matt) is clearly experienced and thoughtful about how best to install considering future home maintenance and not just on their equipment. The office personel (Sitlilly I think) is informed and professional. I wanted another filter and she knew where the guys were and communicated with them to get me one. Overall a great experience. Good company, good people and good equipment.
